At the heart of Kindova Humanitarian Organization is its Founder and President, Yodit Sahelu Seyoum, a visionary leader with a deep commitment to compassion, humanity, and a relentless drive for sustainable change. With a background in international development and nonprofit leadership, Yodit has spent years working with some of the world’s most impactful organizations. But it was a personal journey back to Ethiopia, witnessing the devastating effects of war and hardship firsthand, that inspired her to act.
Driven by what she saw and the resilience of the people she met, Yodit founded Kindova as a platform for kindness in action: to not only respond to crisis but to rebuild lives, restore dignity, and empower communities to thrive.
Alongside Yodit is a passionate and dedicated team of leaders, advisors, and supporters each bringing their own expertise, heart, and commitment to the mission. This collective force is what makes Kindova strong. Together, they are building a movement rooted in compassion and resilience, ensuring no one is left behind in the aftermath of conflict.
Kindova was born out of a powerful belief, that no one should be forgotten in the aftermath of conflict, and that real, lasting change comes from standing beside those in need, not just in moments of disaster, but through the long road of recovery and rebuilding.
We are deeply committed to helping communities in Ethiopia reclaim what was lost through years of conflict, displacement, and uncertainty. From rebuilding war-damaged schools and restoring access to clean, safe water, to strengthening healthcare systems and helping families regain their livelihoods, Kindova is creating community-led solutions rooted in resilience and hope.
